David Lavanty has more that 22 years of experience in Information Technology consulting services, marketing, operations and delivery for public and commercial sector.

Currently David Lavanty is the Group Vice president, Global Consulting Services at BMC Software.

Mr. Lavanty’s expertise lies in developing executive leadership, strategy formulation, marketing, general management, customer relationship development, sales and delivery of solutions to commercial and government clients.

His Experience includes raising $35m in private equity, filing an S-1, conducting an IPO offering, acquiring and integrating firms, as well as managing a 1000 plus person division with a $200 million P&L.

Mr. Lavanty also worked with Oracle Corporation as Group Vice president, looking after marketing, sales and delivery of application and technology consulting services for the Public Sector. He also worked for Sybase Inc. as Vice President for Worldwide Professional Services, Answerthink, Inc., as Managing Director of Technology Integration, Inventa Technologies, Inc., as CEO and President, Senior Vice President with Siebel Systems Inc. and Senior Vice president with PRC Realty Systems Inc.

Mr. Lavanty has a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Education from the University of Akron and an MBA with an emphasis in Information Systems from Marymount University. He has also completed executive leadership and sales management training programs at the Harvard Business School and Haas School of Management. He also serves on the advisory board of the Center for Information Technology and eBusiness at the University of Akron.
