John Avagliano is a senior financial executive with extensive management experience
across a broad array of consumer products and media markets, including music, film,
cosmetics, health care and apparel.
Mr Avagliano was recently employed at Warner Music Group where he was Senior Vice
President, Financial Operations.
As Senior VP at WMG, Mr Avagliano was responsible for financial oversight of the
global manufacturing, distribution and print businesses, worldwide financial planning
and analysis, U.S. advertising procurement, real estate management, offices services
support and U.S. purchasing activities.
Prior to WMG, Mr. Avagliano was Chief Financial Officer of Warner Home Video.
In addition to managing the overall finance function at WHV, Mr. Avagliano led negotiations
in acquiring and distributing independent theatrical and TV content, including PBS,
Discovery Channel, BBC and National Geographic.
Mr. Avagliano also worked with Revlon, Playtex Products, Avon, Sanofi Beaute and
PolyGram Distribution. While at Sanofi Beaute.
Mr. Avagliano received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania
and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of Business. He maintains strong
ties with Wharton through his participation as a member of the Wharton Secondary
School Advisory Board.
