With a career characterized by innovation and initiative,
Dr. McCord brings a deep level of expertise in analytics, business intelligence
and relational database management to mLogica. Prior to mLogica he managed his own
consulting business focusing on technologies for web services, databases and security.
He has held executive management positions with several of the leading database
companies including Ingres, Sybase and Oracle, with responsibility for architecture,
development and products. He is also experienced in application servers and mobile/wireless
technology.
At Sybase, Dr. McCord held the position of Senior Director of Product Management
where he was responsible for the design and development of a high-capacity Analytic
Appliance based on Sybase IQ and implemented by mLogica Consulting. Previously at
Sybase, Dr. McCord was the Director of Server Product Marketing, where he was responsible
for redefining the product vision and roadmap, reversing the decline in the company’s
database business and significantly increasing database revenues.
Prior to Sybase, Dr. McCord served as Senior Director, Product Management at Oracle
where he led the team that developed the market and product requirements for the
Oracle Lite database and the Portal-to-Go wireless server. This positioned Oracle

zero to $40 million. Earlier in his career at Oracle he led the product management
team to refocus the Oracle Application Server away from a proprietary implementation

and WebSphere. This resulted in an increase in both revenues and market share relative
to the leaders.
An excellent teacher and communicator, Dr. McCord is a frequent writer and presenter
in the field of data management. He has extensive international experience, bringing
multicultural leadership to gain the cooperation of decision makers in highly competitive
