Responsibilities:

Technology thought leadership / Stakeholder management:

  • Interface with community network to retain technology competitiveness.
  • Work with the client team to design solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and create pilots.
  • Envisioning the solution and creating the system architecture.

Project Planning & Setup:

  • Understand and contribute to resource plan.
  • Identify appropriate processes based on project landscape.
  • Identify gaps and advise on improvements if required.
  • Share inputs in creation of project plan.
  • Contribute to hardware/software requirement plan.
  • Understand the test strategy, evaluate the design and identify gaps in the test plans, if any.

Project Management:

  • Provide solution strategies for upgrades, migration, consolidation, virtualization, technology refresh and other infrastructure changes.
  • Provide technical consultancy to projects.
  • Identify opportunities for technology improvement.
  • Conduct Proof of Concept activities when necessary.
  • Consult on architectural aspects of the project.
  • Undertake project specific Proof of Concepts activities to validate technical feasibility with guidance.
  • Implement best practices in specific technology area.
  • Recommend new technology solutions to the customer to improve efficiency.
  • Lead project and delivery management, maintenance and support services.
  • Experience in handling Enterprise and Commercial application development and support.
  • Expertise in Web-based software applications in DOTREZ web platform usingASP.NET MVC, Knockout.JS, Umbraco ASP.NET CMSSitecore CMS.
  • MSSQL and Oracle database administration support, manage maintenance and support, an added advantage.
  • Should have had prior team handling exposure.
  • Strong work experience in C# .NET, WinForms, ASP .NET, WPF, Windows services, WCF,LINQ, Couchbase, VB .NET, AJAX,SQL Server, Remoting, MsTest, Crystal reports, Oracle, SAP…
  • Very strong development skills, database administration and OOPs.
  • Experience in software product development and database is mandatory.
  • Good understanding of Web services and WCF.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum).

Requirements Gathering:

  • Work with customer on refining business requirements.
  • Ensure that the business requirements covers functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure that the business requirements covers user volumetric, growth projection and business expansion roadmap.
  • Support customers to define the requirements roadmap, building business case.
  • Analyze functional/nonfunctional requirements and seek clarifications for better understanding of requirements.
  • Define timeline estimates based on the requirements, complexity and inhouse capability.
  • Communicate estimates to supervisor for review.
  • Provide inputs on technical feasibility of requirements.
  • Identify gaps in requirements.
  • Share additional requirements identified with supervisor.

Design & Analysis:

  • Responsible for Architecture and Infrastructure Design.
  • Coordinate team members for POC execution to realize Architecture implementation.
  • Responsible for security system design.
  • Responsible for Capacity planning and Sizing.
  • Participate Architecture review with customer and product vendors.
  • Design reusable components/frameworks.
  • Perform usage analysis of existing reusable design components / frameworks.
  • Internal Technical audit for IAM/Data Security projects.
  • Guide team in preparation of technical specification document and review the same.
  • Break down the base lines requirements into business and functional requirements.
  • Prepare high level and low level design.
  • Identify tools and technologies to be used in the project as well as reusable objects that could be customized for the project.
  • Share the design document with the functional team review.

Coding:

  • Code Review and Recommendations.
  • Guide team in coding as per design.
  • Follow coding standards and best practices to check code quality.
  • Revie developed code.
  • Rework on the code based on inputs if required.
  • Perform complex integration.
  • Guide the developers in identifying, preparing and conducting unit test cases and fixing defects based on results.
  • Consolidate the test results.
  • Provide periodic status update to supervisor and highlight / recommend any changes in design based on challenges faced.
  • Anticipate and identify unreported defects.
  • Conduct technical troubleshooting.
  • Conduct reviews for codes created by team.

Testing:

  • Oversee Unit, Integration and performance testing.
  • Review test results.
  • Coordinate with QA team during the testing phase.
  • Address queries raised by QA within defined timelines.
  • Conduct functional / nonfunctional testing if required.
  • Investigate critical defects and establish need for fixing.
  • Fix complex defects identified during functional / nonfunctional testing.
  • Understand the defect impact / criticality and handle accordingly.
  • Report defect status as per project standard process within agreed timelines.
  • Review defect fixes done by team guide them.
  • Fix defects identified during UAT within agreed timelines.
  • Work with team lead on estimates around defect fixes.

Documentation:

  • Technical and SDLC documentation review is expected.

Change Management:

  • Adopt, enforce, ensure adherence of change management process within projects.

Deployment:

  • Setup & own software engineering processes such as build processes, source control systems, development practices to ensure high quality delivery.
  • Design automated deployment scripts, Data Migration tools.

Defect Management:

  • Participate in Defect triage process and drive resolution process.

Coaching & Facilitating:

  • Mentor the team on translating requirements to design.
  • Provide guidance and share best practices for design and implementation.
  • Provide guidance on technology selection and solution fitment approach for security requirements.
  • Participate in recruitment drives.

Project Estimation:

  • Define standard estimation templates.
  • Define generic IAM, Data security questionnaire for RFP/RFI/Assessment.
  • Do Project estimation (resource, timeline, cost) for RFP/RFI and Customer projects.

Resource/ Efforts Estimation and Monitoring:

  • Review Effort estimation of large size projects.

Resource/ Efforts Estimation and Monitoring:

  • Architecture review, Performance improvement, Optimization suggestions.
  • Technical audit review, Suggest service improvement areas.

Ensure that the developed system is consistent with the defined architecture:

  • Review design and code to meet architecture requirements.
  • Adopts /refines best practices based on project requirements.

Knowledge Management:

  • Contribution to IAM internal competency Reusable assets consolidation, Provide technology POV, Share project implementation best practices, Conduct OnDemand technical training and explore new products/new services.
  • Contribution to Data Security internal competency Share project implementation best practices, Explore new products and technologies on Data protection.
  • Create specific artifacts for tasks allocated.
  • Artifacts review.
  • Manage article in the knowledge management repository.
  • Seek inputs from knowledge repository to resolve problems.
  • Apply best practices/ learning during development activities.

People Management:

  • Manage a sizeable project team with 15~30 members.
  • Responsible for people recognitions, appraisals and feedback.

Business Development:

  • Contribution to Business presales (RFP, RFP, Customer visit).
  • Attend customer visit.

Thought Leadership / Process Improvements / Delivery Excellence:

  • Contribute to the initiatives triggered by the ERSS DE team.

Technology Advisory & Consulting (for clients):

  • Provide technical POV on IAM, Data security requirements.
  • Support and contribute to creating technology road maps.
  • Recommend optimal technology solutions to the client using knowledge of technology and tools.

Technology Review for Projects:

  • Contribute to cross project technical audits and review.
  • Recommend optimal technology solutions to the client using knowledge of technology and tools.

Capability Development:

  • Conduct POCs in lab environment.
  • Work with Product vendors and acquire knowledge on new, emerging areas.
  • Attend Product vendor training.
