Vice President, Finance
As Vice President of Finance, Courtney is responsible for the strategic planning, accounting, finance, budgeting and forecasting at mLogica. She has more than twenty-five years of strategic financial experience, fifteen years at the CFO level, in media and entertainment (feature film, creative marketing/agency, television, music, home entertainment and live theater) both internationally and domestically.
Courtney is a hands-on finance leader with a strong accounting knowledge base including “Big-4” professional background, combined with strategic financial skills. A high energy and results-oriented executive who thrives in dynamic environments, she is adept at building complex models for budgeting, forecasting, and valuations.
Prior to coming to mLogica LLC, Courtney held the position of chief financial officer (CFO) at the following companies; Mob Scene LLC, a privately-owned feature film trailer house and creative media agency; Bellum Entertainment LLC, a privately-owned television production company; Gold Circle Entertainment, a privately-held feature film production company that has produced 30+ feature films including Pitch Perfect (1-3), The Wedding Date, White Noise, Life As We Know It, Haunting In Connecticut, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding; First Look Studios, formerly a subsidiary of Nu Image/Millennium Films, a film and video distribution company and Lieberman Research Worldwide, a market research company.
Her other senior finance roles include senior vice president of Finance & Business Development at CBS Films, VP of Participations at Sony Pictures Entertainment; VP of Finance at Universal Music’s Interscope, Geffen, and A&M record label; over nine years in Canada, the UK, and the United States as VP of Film Finance at PolyGram Filmed Entertainment; and Senior VP and Finance Director of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group in the UK.
Courtney graduated in the top 10% of her class at the University of Toronto, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She became a Chartered Accountant (C.A.) in 1992.
